Overview
These photographs follow an Arctic Mount crew on a rooftop air-cooled chiller plant. The team set up a steel support frame beneath the unit, opened the compressor bay and worked on the York screw compressor in place.
The work
Rooftop chiller work means heavy components, limited access between condenser banks and a plant that the building depends on. Every lift has to be planned and supported before a compressor is disconnected.
How we approach it
Our approach follows the same steps as every compressor job: a full inspection, a technical report and quotation, then removal, overhaul or replacement, testing and start-up. Where requested, our lift & shift teams remove the old compressor and install the replacement with minimal disruption.
